It's our time...to relate

In sales training one is taught to relate based on how the other person processes information.  The clues are quite clear:

Type                                                      Clue

Auditory                                                "I hear you."

Visual                                                   "I see what you mean."

Tactile                                                  "I feel your pain."

If you are having trouble communicating with someone, learning to mirror their style could be an important piece of solving the puzzle.  Give it a try.
