About Us

How we came to be:

"Nearly three years ago, I began to notice that I didn’t see anyone who looked like me – gorgeous, of course, but mature – in the magazines I so love to read. I knew my girlfriends and I were great fun, involved, smart, accomplished, AND we enjoyed things like travel, eating in restaurants, shopping, and cultural events.

After doing some research, I found out that we are the most prosperous demographic and advertisers aren’t paying attention to us. Not good! Since then it has been my passion to 'burnish the image of Women of a Certain Age.' SilverVixens.com is the first step -- and I am eager to see where this step leads."

I am the "After 55" columnist and blogger for WomenEntrepreneur.com. I am also the author and leader of the acclaimed workshop IT'S REINVENTION, helping women proactively plan the next phase of their lives. Join in the journey -- it should be VERY interesting and great fun!
